Original, adorable, super relaxing Japanese Music with Traditional Folk instruments such as Bamboo Flute, Koto, Shamisen - Relaxing Zen Music.
Buy this video: Traditional Japanese Music Instruments: Shakuhachi (Bamboo flute) Shakuhachi are usually made from the root end of a bamboo culm and are extremely versatile instruments. Professional players can produce virtually any pitch they wish from the instrument, and play a wide repertoire of original Zen music, ensemble music with koto, biwa, and shamisen, folk music, jazz, and other modern pieces.
Koto The koto is the national instrument of Japan. Koto are about 180 centimetres (71 in) length, and made from kiri wood (Paulownia tomentosa).
They have 13 strings that are strung over 13 movable bridges along the width of the instrument. Players can adjust the string pitches by moving the white bridges in the picture before playing, and use three finger picks (on thumb, index finger, and middle finger) to pluck the strings, otherwise known as plectra. Shamisen The shamisen is a plucked stringed instrument. Its construction follows a model similar to that of a guitar or a banjo, with a neck and strings stretched across a resonating body.
The neck of the shamisen is fretless and slimmer than that of a guitar or banjo. The body, called the dō (胴), resembles a drum, having a hollow body that is taut front and back with skin, in the manner of a banjo. All music rights reserved from Nash Music Library. It was based on ThePandaThooth's piano arrangement. This is the link for ThePandaThooth video - This is the link for ThePandaThooth youtube channel - Follow me on twitter - Song Lyrics: I was fine with the men Who would come into her life now and again I was fine 'cause I knew That they didn't really matter until you I was fine when you came And we fought like it was all some silly game Over her, who she'd choose After all those years I never thought I'd lose It's over, isn't it?
Isn't it over? It's over, isn't it?
Isn't it over? You won and she chose you And she loved you and she's gone It's over, isn't it? Why can't I move on? War and glory, reinvention Fusion, freedom, her attention Out in daylight my potential Bold, precise, experimental Who am I now in this world without her? Petty and dull with the nerve to doubt her What does it matter? It's already done Now I've got to be there for her son It's over, isn't it? Isn't it over?
It's over isn't it? Isn't it over? You won and she chose you And she loved you and she's gone It's over, isn't it? Why can't I move on? It's over, isn't it?

Re-uploaded with revisions Random notes: -Three-chi: a 'chi' is a traditional unit of length.Sramanera: -Yellow Springs of Death: the Chinese netherworld/Hades -Chan: probably better known to English speakers in its Japanese iteration, 'Zen'.Shaved-headed ass: Literally 'bald donkey'; a rude term for a monk.Longquan swords: -'A single strand of silk.' : proverbial -'A thousand hammers': proverbial -Golden alms bowl: A supernatural weapon; it's the shiny round thing carried by Skanda (one of the painted-face characters accompanying Fahai) -Skanda: -'One month birthday': in the days of high infant mortality, a child's birth wouldn't be celebrated until he/she (traditionally he, unfortunately) had survived a full month. You can read more about it if you search for 'red egg party.' Mothers would also be quarantined for a month after giving birth to give them time to recover, and so their child's one-month birthday would be their reintroduction into the world.
Guzheng Solo Performance 'Spring River Flower Moon Night' 古筝 - 春江花月夜 This instrument is called 'guzheng' or gu zheng. This is one of my favorite guzheng song. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Thank you for viewing! I played this clip in my practice session.

By Wu Promotion 吴氏策划 Title: The Countryside Ballad (Tian ge 田歌) Orchestra: China Traditional Orchestra of Zhejiang Soloist: Hou Yanqiu 侯彦秋 Venue: Moscow International Hall of Music The hulusi 葫芦丝 The hulusi (which means 'gourd silk', referring to the instrument's silky tone) or huluxiao 葫芦箫 ('gourd vertical flute') is an end-blown free reed pipe with gourd wind-chest.
Single pipe specimens are rare, most hulusi have a melody pipe and one to two drone pipes. Each pipe has a triangular free reed made of brass. The hulusi is most commonly associated with the Dai minority (who call it bilangdao 筚朗叨), but it is also found under other names amongst other minority groups of Southern China such as the De'ang, Wa and others.
The drone pipe has a finger hole, which allows it to be stopped. Advanced configurations have keyed finger holes similar to a clarinet or oboe, which can greatly extend the range of the hulusi to several octaves, and a slide-whistle like mechanism that can tune the hulusi to a desired pitch. The sound of the hulusi is hauntingly beautiful, but fairly soft, and as a result is seldom played in ensembles. The Dai men would play it to express their love to women, while other minorities often played the hulusi in the fields when taking a break from planting or harvesting. Recorded by Russia TV ▶0:00 12.

Close your eyes and embark on a journey to the Far East in search of tranquility. Discover the beauty found within nature, and surrender your senses. My Website — For day 33 I played a traditional Taiwanese tune on dizi, which is a Chinese style flute. My 60 Day Challenge is to film myself making music for 60 consecutive days.
For this video, I decided I would demonstrate how the Chinese flute called a dizi creates it's characteristic sound. I'm still not great at attaching the dimo, as it's called. It's actually a thin shaving of bamboo that vibrates when the flute is played. From my observations of other YouTube videos, it seems as though the 'buzzy' timbre should be a little more prevalent and consistent. The flute actually sounds quite nice if you just cover the extra hole, called the 'mo kong,' with tape. I've found that electrical tape works quite nicely!

I think it's probably a hard balance to strike because it can't be too loose either.
